It’s been a little while since I’ve posted on here. I reached the end of my first academic year at the Ruskin, and I think I’ve needed some space to think about where I want to go from here, without the pressure of trying to fully form thoughts or ideas. Instead, I’d like to share some images of starting points: places, objects, and pictures that have caught my attention, as well as some of my recent sketchbook pages, and a quote that I’ve enjoyed. I’m not going to try to articulate the connections just yet, but I wanted to share some of where I’m at.

“With the passage of time, Alba filled not only one but all her bedroom walls with an immense fresco. In the midst of a Venusian flora and an impossible fauna of invented animals much like those Rosa had embroidered on her tablecloth and Blanca baked in her kiln, she painted all the wishes, memories, sorrows, and joys of her childhood.”
